It’s time to address our schools. The average age of MWPISD school buildings is 52 years old, with the last new campus built in the 1970’s. This bond touches every school, student and teacher in the district. MWP High School includes new cafeteria, auditorium, and fine arts spaces.
EXPAND CAREER & TECHNOLOGY COURSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Today’s economy requires more advanced skills, specialized training, and access to technology. Every student will have equal access to hands on, real-world training & certifications in Nursing, Culinary Arts, Robotics, Cosmetology, Fashion, and Computer Technology. Convert Sudderth Elementary into a state-of-the-art Career & Technology Center with modern secure entryways and daily capacity for 200 students. New welding classrooms, Auto Tech facility and building upgrades at the district Bus Barn
NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL / UPGRADES AT CULLENDER & TATOM
This bond includes a new Elementary school to replace Sudderth and increases the capacity to 900 students. Includes two gyms, separate cafeterias and playgrounds, one library, one bus drop off, and two drop-off drives. Cullender and Tatum Elementary schools receive critical maintenance like repairing the roofing and replacing outdated HVAC & electrical systems and updating the paint and flooring. Additionally, the proposal brings modern security upgrades like secure entrances with access control, additional security cameras, and lockdown door hardware to keep our kids and teachers safe.
